SOS

Okay, it's not that serious but I need urgent help!!!!

Here's the scoop:

I'm going to Vegas this weekend with 4 other girls. One just turned 26 yesterday and the other turns 30 a few days after we get back.

So, the other 3 of us wanted to do something a little special for them while we're there. Probably get their dinner but we all probally will give them a little gift individually as well and thats where I need YOUR help.

We are all new friends so we're not super close... just in the stages of getting to know each other.

I dont want anything over the top or expensive. Something just sweet, thoughtful and creative.... Something small and different, no what I mean?

One of my friends is going to give them a card with a Starbucks gift card inside but I just wanted something a little more special than that.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Would realllly appreciate it!!! Gift ideas and/or any ideas on how to make them feel more special why on our girls weekend in Vegas.

Like I said, we are leaving for Vegas in 3 days so I cant get anything online. Its something I have to go pick up and buy or put together myself.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. xo.

PLEASE give me your ideas.. i know you all have them!!!!

Maybe stop by Sephora and pick up some fun lip glosses, a hip nail polish and a can of Evian spray and call it the "Vegas survival kit" or something like that. The girls/guys at Sephora may have better suggestions...Just an idea!

You could also do luggage tags that they can use forever, but always remember when/where they got them.

A really low cost option is to make CDs for all of the girls - sort of a soundtrack for the weekend. Good luck!

How about something from Uncommon Goods like this:

Or some jewelry from Anthropologie like this:

Personally, I would love to receive one or the other!

Good luck!

I love the ideas that Sweet Dreams Preppy gave you, especially the luggage tags.

Here's what I've got for ya:

It's been years since I've been to Vegas, but I remember carrying quarters for the slots in a paper cup and my fingers getting really dirty from handling all the coinage. How about some sort of plastic mug, maybe personalized, for each girl. One with a handle, and maybe a little fabric bag tied on the handle that holds wet-wipes (for those nasty coinage fingers).

You could send cheesy Vegas postcards to each girl at their home address, written during your weekend so that when they get home it will be there waiting for them, reminding them of the fun you all had.

T-shirts with each girl's name and maybe a reference to Vegas09. I've bought iron-on decal paper that you can print on from your home printer. The iron-ons look great. Cheap t-shirts are easy to find.

I'll keep thinking and if I come up with more I'll post another comment!

I was totally gonna say what preppy wrote! My friend spent her bday in vegas a few years ago and I put together a cute bag of stuff. A lot of it was pool related since that's where we spent our days. Sephora had this lipgloss that the applicator lit up with an automatic mini light and a mirror on the tube so you could see your lip gloss application in the dark- perfect for vegas.
By the way, no more real coins in slot machines. :(
And yes I live in California. But not anywhere beautiful like those pictures. (Bakersfield)

What about Sprinkles cupcakes and a roll of quarters? Or make a candy bouquet...remember that one I showed you that I made? It's cute.

Hi! I would put something together myself...at least thats what I did for my friend's birthday last weekend! Putting something together yourself shows that you took the time and thought to arrange something that they may like, and believe me, they notice that too! Like what I did, was my friend Alex likes to sew, stitch and all that jazz, so I put together a little baggy with some thread & needle, little fabric scraps, jewels & accessories, so she can get crafty. Think of what your friend is into and you can think of something to put together for her!
xo. hope this helps?

I like this idea: http://inchmark.squarespace.com/inchmark/2009/6/18/graduation-gift.html

And the roll of quarters is a good one.

OK, I PROMISE I am not plugging this shop because they are one of my new sponsors. I bought a bracelet from her before she was my sponsor, I swear!

Petiteminx.net has some awesome affordable jewelry. I highly recommend you check it out!

Have a blast in Vegas. The last time I was there was in Oct for one of my Bachelorette Parties, I loved it!

If you're in Vegas and you want a fancy meal but without paying too much head to Spago's Cafe. Spago the main restaurant is super expensive, but if you opt to go to their cafe (the cafe is the patio area) - it's WAY cheaper. The food is delicious and it's a top restaurant spot, plus it's in Caesars Palace! I say you can give each one a small bracelet that you all can share you can get nice ones at "Things Remembered" for about $15 each. :)

I'm sorry I'm slow to respond!! You have some great ideas so far! I'm jealous that you have a new group of girlfriends to hang with...I don't have many girlfriends, and the few I do have never want to do anything without their husbands/kids (even for an hour or two!!).

Love the idea of the personalized mugs for the coins. You could go to the dollar store and pick up a cute little basket for each girl and put some stuff inside for a "girls pampering night" while y'all are there...maybe a foot scrub, some pretty nail polish, a lip gloss, a facial mask, etc. All of these things can be found in smaller sizes and on the cheap.
