XXX

I'm turning the big {30} very soon, less than a month actually and although I'm not too happy about the idea, I'm trying to to come to terms with it! It's growing on me... I think.

At first I didn't want to celebrate but now I'm thinking about planning a little something. But what? Dinner out with friends? But where? I guess if I don't have a choice about turning 30, I want this birthday to be memorable in a good way!

Do you have any cute/creative/fun/memorable ideas I can do for my 30th? I would love to hear what ideas you may have...

When I turned 30, my boss brought me a tiara to wear at work. LOL!!! It was funny!

I contemplated getting another tattoo when I turned 30, but couldn't decide on what I wanted. I had an idea, but couldn't get it down right in my mind.

Remember, turning 30 is better than stopping suddenly! LOL

i'm not 30 yet, but if i were i'd get all dressed up and go out to dinner with all my girl friends to my favorite restaurant. simple but wonderful. then maybe to a jazz club (or a bar with live music anyway) for drinks and music! hope your evening is lovely!

You'll be okay. Don't worry, age is just a number and you are only as old as you feel. Trust me, 30 isn't old.

Happy early birthday to you - and I agree - 30 is not old! ;)

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

So you've reached the 3-0 (I will be there soon!). How about a Progressive Dinner? They are so fun. You just need to have a few friends who are willing to give their homes up for the night, and hopefully live within close proximity of each other.

You would have the hors deouvres at the first place, and then after that, all drive to the next place where you'd have the appetiser, and then go to the next place for the main course, and then the last house for dessert. It's a lot of fun and really interesting to see what each person comes up with.

Another GREAT idea is a Murder Mystery Party. I hosted a 1920's theme one for 30 people and it turned out soooo good. It was a really open one, where people could wander all over the house to sort out the crime, and multiple murders happened throughout the night. Here's a link to the Murder Mystery site, and pics from my event http://www.dinnerandamurder.com/forum/april-2007-winner-murder-at-the-four-deuces-t854.html

(sorry this is such a long post - I just LOVE planning parties!)

Check into any spa schools that might be in your area. Then check in for the day. I did that when I turned 30 and had a blast being sanded...massaged...buffed...and rubbed into peaceful bliss. It's a lot cheaper at the schools and the students do the job as well as a professional. Happy Birthday.

Ohh...also write down 3 bible verses that represent your life now..and then open them up 10 years later when you turn 40 and see the difference. Blessings.

I think a spa day or pedicures and mimosas with your girlfriends that afternoon sounds fun. I definitely think you should do something that night to celebrate though - like you, I think the idea of turning 30 sucks, but it is a big birthday and 30 is still YOUNG. :-)

Happy early b-day!
