it's my party and i'll cry if i want to

In less than 2 months I am forced to say goodbye to my twenties. I hate that I'm getting upset about {age} of all things. I don't even know if age is my issue. It's more about what things I haven't accomplished yet.

Don't tell anyone, but I think I am going to stay 29 for awhile. And... I might be able to get away with it too! Not to brag, but most people think I'm still in my early twenties! So, atleast I have that going for me.

Does anyone else suffer with turning the BIG 30?

What things did you want to accomplish before 30? Did you do it?

I know this must sound ridiculous but for some reason this is hard for me. It started hitting me at 28, I remember thinking.. "wow, 28 is so close to 30!" I can't believe that was 2 years ago already. It feels like that just happened.

I guess I'll go cry now.

Don't Worry, honey. Age is just a number. You are still young and have a lot of time left to accomplish those goals.

I promise you will survive. Wear 30 like a badge of honor! At 32- so far the 30s are way better than my 20s and those were great.

I'm not too far from 30 either... oh boy. My husband is 29 and he, too, is a little skeptical about the whole 30 business... I wish you luck! At least you don't look it!

I think it's what age you really feel and what experiences you've packed into your life that matter, not the number! I hope you have a fabulous party to celebrate. :)

That old saying "age is a state of mind" is very wise and true. Never let the number bother you...let your attitude and thoughts be the guide to your real age. I've known twenty somethings who seem angry and bitter and thus old. I've met seventy somethings who never allowed society and our youth-obsessed culture to define them in any way. We are conditioned to believe that we should start breaking-down (so to speak) at certain numbers/ages in our life. But this need not be because, ultimately, the choice is our own. We have free will over our thoughts. You are just beginning your life sweet Cali Girl...you're just a baby :). Don't fall for the stigma attached to any number/age, just be the joyous, young soul that you are. My good thoughts are with you.
God Bless.
Warmly,
Tracey

30 was nothing. Not a big deal at all. Now 35 really freaked me out! Because then I was like "I'm only years away from 40, which is halfway to 80!"

LOL!!!

Oops, that was supposed to say "I'm only 5 years away from 40, which is halfway to 80!"

See, the mind is already going! ha!!

I have decided that I am not going to let my age be what defines me instead I am going to define how great my age is no matter what it is. I felt so sad when I turned 24 then I thought you know what I am going to rock whatever age I am! So no worries my blogging friend the best is yet to come in both of our lives so let's welcome the age cause we will only get better with each year ;)

HUGZ!

oh I hated turning 30 also...how that i am months from 32 it's all good now...but when I'm 39 that'll be a whole new story! My huzbin & I had decided we wanted to take a fun trip wihtout the kiddos{while we still were 29 lol}. We drove to Biloxi to the casinos there & then to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We had a blast! I highly suggest you go on a fun adventure & eat everything decadent =)
...thanks sooooo much for my box full of goodies. I so love that lipgloss too...I couldn't believe it~ the exact same shade! Thanks again =)
