One Word: Yummy!

Okay, I like candles but I don't love them except for these.... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my IllUME BOULANGERIE Angel Food candles and for the holidays I love to burn the Sweet Vanilla and Cinnamon! They smell so yummy, you just want to eat them up.

Here is my delightful little candle... all ready to be burned.

The second picture is what I like to do to dress my candles up a bit.

My Carmen...

My dear baby Carmen is sick with cancer.. we are at a point where nothing is working to heal my baby anymore. I know that there is a season for everything and that all things that live will some day die but my baby is still so young at heart and is such a good boy. I pray to Jesus that He will heal my baby. If you feel lead to pray for my doggie, please do... it would mean a lot to me and Carmen.

Here is a picture of Carmen while we were at his doctors appoinment today. This is him communicating to me as he looks at me that he wants out of there and wants to go home...

Kiss, Kiss! I just bought these adorable kissing salt and pepper shakers today! I am a huge dog lover so I had to have them. It was hard to choose which ones I wanted because they had so many different ones to choose from. I think they would make a great gift... very cute and unique! I bought mine at a local gift shop but if you want to browse others.... Mwah!

Crazy Quilt

I have two very Special, Dear, Beautiful, Amazing grandmas that I adore so very, very much. They are so opposite of each other but they both have qualities that I admire to no end! I call one of them Mamaw and one of them Mom.

Mom (and I call her this I *think* because I always heard my dad call her that...LOL) made me my very own quilt. I cherish it so very much. She has 4 grandchildren, and I am her oldest. She planned to make one for each of us. Of course I was first because I was her first one! Yay for me!

She let me decide what kind of wanted, what fabrics I wanted to use and what I wanted her to do with it. I said that I wanted a crazy quilt and I wanted her to do embroidering all over it. Anywhere and everywhere! And I said, I want one random square all by itself on the back! I believe this is the very first quilt she has ever made, she also isn't one that has much experience with embroidering and she did it all by hand....and she did it all for me!

She started on Christmas day and ended on my birthday... there were a few years inbetween but she put a lot of heart and soul into it.

I just love it. Every time I look at this amazing piece of work, I find some new little surprise on it just for me to find.

I Surrender All

I love this song and I love hearing Faith Hill sing it.
It's one of my most favorite songs....

I Surrender All

All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give
I will ever love and trust Him
In His presence daily live
All to Jesus I surrender
Humbly at His feet I bow
Worldly pleasures all forsaken
Take me, Jesus, take me now,
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to Thee my blessed Savior
I surrender all
All to Jesus I surrender
Make me Savior wholly thine
May Thy Holy Spirit fill me
May I know Thy power divine
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to Thee my blessed Savior
I surrender all
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to Thee my blessed Savior
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to Thee my blessed Savior
I surrender all

Home Sweet Home

Some of my favorite things around the house...

Wire basket: I just got this the other day. It's cute and whimsical but what should I do with it? Do you have any ideas for me?

Flowers/Frame: This is a picture of my wedding flower bouquet. I have this picture taped on that back of the frame that I made for the petals.

Magazines: These are some of my favorite magazines. The wonderful little thing about this is... I didn't know what to do with them. I had them in stacks on my bedroom floor for the longest time. BUT... at the same time, I had this basket stored away empty for months now, liking it but not knowing what to do with it. Finally, it came to me, maybe those magazines will fit in there....hmmmmm! Well, they did and like a glove! Perfect.

Dessert Plates: I think these are pretty and girly. I found these at TJ Maxx about 8 years ago.

Puppies: Sadie and Preston, 2 out of my 3 precious babies.

Quilts: I love them and collect vintage quilts. They are so cozy and beautiful and I truly treasure them, here are a few for you to see!

Inspirational Board

A few posts back I was talking about how I was in the process of making one...

I call it *My Inspirational Board* it consists of things that I love, adore, can't live without, hope for, wish for, admire, talk about, think about, dream about or just things that catch my eye, and so on.

I finally have it up on my wall and thought I would share some pics. Wish the pictures came out a little better but here is what I have at this point.
