need your creative help...

My husband and I have a tradition where each May {our aniversary month}, we go to Color Me Mine and we both paint a dinnr plate. I think it's a special thing that we do together. I like the idea of adding to our collection each year and some day, as a family we can eat off these plates that are full of memories.

The dilemma is... I don't know what to do with them. They just sit in a stack and collect dust. I want to display them some how but I don't know how?

As of right now, we have a total of 6, but each year 2 more get added!

Have any ideas as to how I can display them? And how I can do it where it will be easy to add to the collection?

When I moved into our new home, I had a beautiful plate collection that I could not find a place for. I finally decided to use it as a border at the very top of my wall in my bathroom. (It replaces the wallpaper border.) It is stunning! It just goes around two walls, but everyone comments on it and says they would have never thought of that. I would not use them in the bathroom, but maybe another room...

Your plates are such a wonderful idea! I could see them as a wonderful border in a family room!

Cute idea!

There are lot of cute plate racks out there. Or, you could use some easels. If you have room...like over the top of your kitchen cabinets maybe? Or use plate hangers and find a good wall to hang them on...

Good morning, thanks so much for coming by and visiting! I wanted to let you know...you asked about the Whimsical candies...they are made out of salt dough, painted with craft paint, then brushed with thin glue...sprinkled with coarse glitter (mica flakes)...I had so much fun making them! So easy. I got the recipe off the internet and made all kinds of things! Hope you have a lovely day!
Blessings,
Debbie

Awesome tradition! I think you should do a grouping of them on a wall somewhere and you can switch them out from time to time. So cute!

What a sweet tradtion! I agree with some of the others - grouping them or using them as a border on the walls would be really cute. :)
