Home Sweet Home

Some of my favorite things around the house...

Wire basket: I just got this the other day. It's cute and whimsical but what should I do with it? Do you have any ideas for me?

Flowers/Frame: This is a picture of my wedding flower bouquet. I have this picture taped on that back of the frame that I made for the petals.

Magazines: These are some of my favorite magazines. The wonderful little thing about this is... I didn't know what to do with them. I had them in stacks on my bedroom floor for the longest time. BUT... at the same time, I had this basket stored away empty for months now, liking it but not knowing what to do with it. Finally, it came to me, maybe those magazines will fit in there....hmmmmm! Well, they did and like a glove! Perfect.

Dessert Plates: I think these are pretty and girly. I found these at TJ Maxx about 8 years ago.

Puppies: Sadie and Preston, 2 out of my 3 precious babies.

Quilts: I love them and collect vintage quilts. They are so cozy and beautiful and I truly treasure them, here are a few for you to see!

Brandi,
Thank you for the very nice comment about my papercuttings on Vintage Indie! You would have fun doing a papercutting of your dogs! I have attached a link to a blog post of mine, with easy steps to do your own! Please just email me if you have any other questions! Hugs, La Donna

Hi Brandi ~~ I love your wire basket!! How about hanging it on the wall and hanging something in the middle ... the wire can act like a little frame. Just a thought.

Sadie and Preston are just as cute as can be!! Give them little doggie hugs from me and Duhgall.

Love your quilts and you sure have a lovely collection of them.

Have a wonderful day!

I like Becky's idea about hanging it on the wall!

Your puppies are SO CUTE! If you lived near me I would say Lilly and them could play!

Well, Ohio girl - that is neat - what made you move to CA?? We never went to Akron much - we go through it on occasion when we travel to the east coast. I had a roommate in college that lived in Youngstown - that is as far east Ohio that I really went for visits!

I've got to tell you that we are just enchanted with your blog....and I desperately need one of those baskets that you put your magazines in (I also need an inspiration board too - I've got an inspirational PILE!!)
Well, I'd better get back to work - lovely chatting with you again!!
Karla & Karrie too

Hi Brandi,
thanks for visting and leaving a comment. I will keep you posted on our puppy adventure. Your dogs are really cute....by the way, I have the same plates, I love your basket with magazines, and as for the the wire basket idea, I would use it for seasonal displays, hold lemons, christmas ornaments, bundled vintage lace or in the bathroom, I can see nice body lotions displayed. Enjoy, the possiblities are endless.

Hi Brandi, great basket could do so many things with it, how about placing a mirror inside and then running some ribbon around the side. You can use it to display perfumes etc. or fill it with moss & plant it up with some pretty little plants. Your puppies are adorable. thanks for visiting, God bless, Laura

Hi there! I was going through some old comments tonight to see if I'd missed anything, but I saw your comment asking about my Ped Egg. I got it at Sally's beauty supply, which I think is a nationwide chain. I've heard that you can also get them at Bed, Bath & Beyond and I actually saw them in WalMart the other day too. So sorry I didn't respond to your question sooner!

You have such a cute blog. Those wire baskets are so cute! And I love your quilts too. Very pretty!
